Zonta Club Kathmandu holds children’s health camp in Masine Village

The Zonta Club of Kathmandu, Nepal, in partnership with Ek Ek Paila Foundation, organized a successful children’s health camp at Champa Sikhar Adharbhut Vidhyalaya in Masine Village, providing critical healthcare services to underserved youth.

More than 50 children received free medical checkups focusing on dental, eye and pediatric care, delivered by a team of volunteer healthcare professionals. The camp also featured an oral hygiene education session, promoting preventive habits and long-term wellness.

Among the medical volunteers were Dr. Binita Adhikari (consultant dentist), Dr. Sajani Dongol (general physician), Kripa Shrestha (optometrist) and dental nurse Parbati Gurung. Zontians Dr. Sabina Shah Pahari and Dr. Jyoti Aryal provided key leadership and support throughout the initiative.

The camp identified dental concerns in 32 children, many requiring follow-up care, and distributed essential medications through pediatric consultations. Unilever Nepal supported the event by donating toothpaste, while Ek Ek Paila provided each child with a gift bag containing personal care items.

Club President Bina Rana expressed gratitude to the volunteers and community for their support, reaffirming the club’s commitment to advancing health equity in rural areas—one child, one village at a time.
