Care Closet Completion at DARCC

The Zonta Club of Dallas, TX, USA, recently completed a design-build project at the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center (DARCC). The club extends heartfelt appreciation to Zonta friends who have contributed to this project.

As part of the hands-on service initiative, club members helped build the center’s Care Closet, a resource that helps survivors of rape and domestic violence access resources to meet their basic needs. This allows them the space they need to process their trauma and attend to their healing. The team installed shelving and organized supplies, products and storage bins to create a system that allows DARCC staff to easily manage inventory and distribute items.

The supplies used in the closet were collected during a December donation drive organized by the Zonta Club of Dallas, which gathered diapers and personal care products for the center.

The club also recognized the contributions of project partners Gary Williams of GMW Architect for design support and Sam and Dustin Hale of Hale Contractors, LLC for construction assistance.
