Spreading hope through education: A Brigada Eskwela initiative under Project ExCEL

As part of Project ExCEL (Expanding Commitment to Education and Learning), the Z Club of Cagayan National High School, with strong support from the Zonta Club of Tuguegarao, Philippines, spearheaded an outreach activity in line with the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela. The initiative reached more than 50 learners in Enrile.

To promote inclusive access to education and support learner well-being, the team distributed school supplies and hygiene kits to children. To further encourage literacy and build connections, Z Club members, together with Zontians from the Zonta club and their advisers, conducted an interactive storytelling session. The books used during the activity were later donated to the school to enrich its reading resources and promote continued learning.

The endeavor was made possible through the generosity of private individuals, community partners and the Zonta Club of Tuguegarao.
