No woman, anywhere, should die giving life
1,500 Clean Birth Kits were packed on 2 May in support of the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia and its goal of assembling 20,000 kits in May to celebrate the foundation’s 20th anniversary.
Clean Birth Kits are simple and effective tools for basic infection prevention and first-line childbirth care. Each component in a kit has been selected to support the six principles of cleanliness at birth for mothers, newborns, and birth attendants in high-risk and emergency settings.
The assembly day was organized by the Zonta Club of Sydney Breakfast Inc, Australia. Donations supported the purchase of the kit materials, and the venue was provided by the Breakfast Point Community (Sydney, Australia).
