Zonta Club of Jelgava joins Latvia’s “Big Cleanup” for Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day, the Zonta Club of Jelgava, Latvia, proudly joined the nationwide “Lielā Talka” (The Big Cleanup) initiative.

Club members gathered outdoors to contribute to the annual event by collecting waste and cleaning natural spaces around the community. Their collective efforts resulted in the removal of 20 bags of litter, helping to create a cleaner, greener environment for future generations.

“This was so nice — to walk in nature, in fresh air with our great members of Zonta Club and to do something good by reducing waste in our city, country and thus the whole world,” said one participating member.
