Zonta Club of Makati & Environs opens benefit art exhibit “Au Féminin: Art Empowering Women”

The Zonta Club of Makati & Environs, Philippines, in partnership with Galerie Joaquin, successfully opened its benefit art exhibit, “Au Féminin: Art Empowering Women,” on 9 October, at the R1 Level, South Court of Power Plant Mall.

The opening cocktail was attended by sister Zontians led by Club President Joanne Zapanta Andrada, who delivered the welcome remarks. Area 5 Director Susan Lim and Zontians from neighboring clubs also showed their support for this advocacy-driven initiative.

Dignitaries from the Consular Corps and SHOM Ladies were present, including Mme. Indri P. Akyol of the Embassy of Turkey, H.E. Emma Hickey of the Embassy of Ireland, H.E. Vladislava Lordanova, Ambassador of Belgium, H.E. Dana Kursh, Ambassador of Israel, Mr. Alex Ferry of the Swedish Embassy, Madame Lee Eun-Hwa, spouse of the Korean Ambassador and Inung Darmayanti, spouse of the Minister Counsellor for Economic Affairs, together with Anita Rachmasari from the Indonesian Defence Attaché’s Office.

Hosted by Bravo Awardee for Media Ms. Ma. Mikaella Oreta, the event was organized by Maritess Pineda and Melissa Romualdez, whose leadership and commitment brought the exhibit to life.

Au Féminin highlights the intersection of art and advocacy, featuring works by esteemed artists including Juvenal Sansó, Ramon Orlina, Michael Cacnio, Katrina Cuenca, James Gabito, Jo Balbarona, RV Basco, Marge Organo and Jerry Morada. Proceeds from the exhibit will benefit ZCME’s women empowerment programs, including an art residency supporting emerging women artists through mentorship and professional development.

The exhibit runs from 9 to 12 October, uniting art, advocacy and empowerment in one inspiring showcase.
