Zonta Club of Muntinlupa and Environs hosts Art for a Cause

The Zonta Club of Muntinlupa & Environs, Philippines, together with the Muntinlupa Golden Z Club, proudly hosted the highly anticipated Art for a Cause art exhibit and sale at Ayala Alabang Barangay Hall on 22–23 August.

The exhibition was a testament to the country's rich artistic heritage, with a total of 71 paintings and 17 sculptures, commemorative plates and tiles, showcasing original works by National Artists Larry Alcala, Jose Joya and Benedicto "BenCab" Cabrera. The art exhibit also highlighted the talent of other notable Filipino artists and sculptors, each contributing their unique vision: Lydia Velasco, Norma Belleza, Emie Tagle, Juvenal Sanso, Angel and Angelito Cacnio, Karen and Ronald Castrillo, Glen Cagandahan and many others.

The Art for a Cause event served a critical mission; part of the proceeds from the sale of these art pieces will directly support the club's various service projects, which focus on empowering women and girls and advancing their status in the community.

Art for a Cause was more than just an art exhibition; it was a powerful fusion of culture, charity and community. By bringing together the works of legends and contemporary masters, the Zonta club successfully demonstrated how art can be a powerful force for positive change.
