Area 4 Zontians recognized at 23rd Zonta District 17 Conference
Area 4 (Northern Philippines) brought one of the largest delegations to the 23rd Zonta International District 17 Conference, held 24-28 September, in Hong Kong and Macao, rallying under the theme “We Care.” Delegates from five Asian countries—Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia—gathered to celebrate advocacy and leadership.
Pre-conference activities in Hong Kong included the Z and Golden Z Forum on youth leadership and climate justice, as well as a welcome reception at the Palace Museum. Zonta International President Salla Tuominen and keynote speaker Dr. Rosanna Wong, DBE, JP emphasized the power of “caring” as a unifying principle in Zonta’s mission. District Governor Winnie Wong presented her biennial report, while delegates adopted resolutions and elected the incoming District 17 Board.
