Zonta Makati and Environs : Amelia Earhart Webinar 2025

In celebration of the Amelia Earhart Fellowship in January, the Zonta Club of Makati and Environs, Philippines, held a special Amelia Earhart Webinar to honor women’s achievements in aviation and science and to encourage the next generation of girls to pursue careers in STEM.

The featured speaker was Tina Di Cicco, a distinguished aviation professional with over 30 years of experience in the airline industry. Her career stands as a lasting legacy of excellence in a field historically dominated by men, making her a fitting voice for an event rooted in the pioneering spirit of Amelia Earhart.

The webinar aimed to highlight the vital role women can play across all fields, particularly in science and aviation. The goal is to engage women leaders to promote STEM education and inspire young girls to become trailblazers in science-related careers.

The program also emphasized the importance of advocacy for women’s empowerment—encouraging greater participation, visibility and leadership of women in traditionally male-dominated sectors.
